April 21, 2025 - In a landmark step to enhance rail infrastructure and connectivity in eastern India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the region’s first Namo Bharat train from Madhubani, Bihar.

“Namo-Bharat Express” is the RRTS initiative (Regional-Rapid Transit System) of the country. India aims to provide the nation with high-speed, efficient and economical means of public transport system. This system is expected to link the Eastern parts of India with major towns and cities.

As per statements made by senior railway officials, this is a giant step taken by the Indian government and railway authorities towards their commitment to balancing regional development programs and providing a state-of-the-art public transport system. An Initiative that proves the government’s commitment, made towards regional India.
It is expected that this new railway network will connect Madhurai commuters with other important and larger economic hubs within the country. This network will also reduce commuting time for travellers on this route and boost the local economy. The new initiative is also expected to boost more employment opportunities for younger generations, promote local tourism and contribute toward the social and economic growth of the nation and region.
As per reports, the launch ceremony shall be attended by the Union ministers, state officials, and railway authorities, and thousands of citizens are expected to attend the launch ceremony.
